With input from KRAG and English Nature, Richard Moyse (KWT) has produced 2 excellent guidance notes on how great crested newts and protected reptiles should be treated in new developments.

Many development proposals do not come up to scratch in their treatment of these species, and we hope that the leaflets will be a useful guide to planners, developers, and those who comment on planning applications.

Get them from the KRAG website.

Although aimed at planning authorities in Kent, we are investigating ways to promote the leaflets as templates that can be formatted for different local ARGs and deployed nationally.
